Kiroshi Optics

How this card works

Kiroshi Optics costs 1 Eddie, needs 1 RAM and adds 1 power. Its one line: when the equipped Unit attacks, you look at one of your face-down Legends without revealing it.

That matters because your Legends start face-down in a random order. Once you know what a card is, you can pick it or skip it when you Call a Legend. The rules have you mark a known Legend for your Rival - with a token or by setting it apart - without showing it, and you can't look at it again once the effect has resolved.

Looking is mandatory, even when you'd rather not know. At 1 Eddie, Kiroshi Optics is also one of the cheapest Gear for switching on 'if it's equipped' text such as Maelstrom Goons.
