Mandibular Upgrade

How this card works

For 1 Eddie, Mandibular Upgrade turns any friendly Unit or face-up Legend into a Blocker. It adds 0 power, so all its value is the keyword: when a rival Unit attacks, spend the equipped card to redirect the attack onto it - whether the attack was aimed at your Gigs or at another of your Units.

Put it on something that is ready anyway and wins fights. Rockn' Rockerboy is 8 power for 5 Eddies with no text; with this Gear it becomes a wall most attackers bounce off. Dum Dum: Maelstrom Triggerman likes it for another reason: its Call lets you defeat a friendly Gear to draw 2 instead of 1, and no Gear is cheaper to give up.

One limit: a face-up Legend in the Legends area can wear this Gear, but it can only use Blocker once it's on the field.
